kinoa - the Cultural Cinema

Kinoa is arguably the largest and most programmatically diverse open-air cinema in Graubünden: Over 24 days, 37 films from all genres are shown. The open-air event takes place for the third time in August 2023 -- at the well-known location near Fürstenwald above Chur. Here, Kinoa provides easy access to the worlds of culture and film, regardless of age, gender, or social status.

Deliberately, kinoa does not use a traditional row seating arrangement. Camping chairs can be rented at the entrance, and other seating options can be brought along. This concept not only allows for free choice of seating but also encourages mixing among the audience. This, in turn, facilitates exchange and new discourses among visitors. The exchange and enjoyment of the evening are additionally enhanced by a bar service and a food tent.
