Burg Reichenstein

Originally, Burg Reichenstein was built by the Counts of Frohburg, later came into the possession of the Diocese of Basel, which leased the property to the Reich family. Until around 1570, the castle was inhabited, after which it stood empty for several centuries and fell into ruins. Only in 1932 did Mr. Jacques Brodbeck-Sandreuter (former Chairman of CIBA) restore Burg Reichenstein. Both the castle and a large surrounding area were transferred in 1972 to the public law "Foundation Burg Reichenstein." The site, perched above the tri-border area, is under monument protection and can be rented for events. Whether it''s a wedding, birthday, family/friends/company celebration, team event, or a unique "Tête-à-Tête," the stunning view, the historic castle romanticism, and the design of the site (castle courtyard, entrance hall, halls, tower room) invite guests to linger and celebrate.
