Chaos-Theater Oropax

The Chaos-Theater Oropax is a comedy duo from Freiburg im Breisgau. The brothers Volker and Thomas Martins founded it in 1983 with Jan-Erik G{"u}rth.

History
In the early years, the three of them practiced theater as a hobby. In 1989, Jan-Erik G{"u}rth left Oropax. Thomas and Volker Martins developed their first duo show The Shortest Joke of All Time. In 1992, the duo entered the entertainment business and since then describes their program as "surprisingly pointless". Their performances are characterized by their fast-paced speech, a strong penchant for puns and sophisticated wordplay, as well as their large physical involvement.
