"Big Pintenfritz" is one of the longest toboggan runs in the world at 15 km - a former Faulhorn innkeeper gave the toboggan trail its name.
The starting point is First (2166m), which you can reach from Grindelwald by cable car. From there, a marked winter hiking trail leads in about 2 hours to Bachalpsee and further to Faulhorn (2680m). At Faulhorn, there is a reward for the effort: a unique panoramic view over many parts of Switzerland.
The toboggan trail now continues from Faulhorn via Bussalp, descending 15 km down to Grindelwald. It is worthwhile to take a break at Restaurant Bussalp and enjoy the sun and Swiss delicacies.
