The IN LAIN Hotel Cadonau is the smallest 5-star Superior hotel in Switzerland - a wooden gem amidst the Engadine mountain world. The name "In Lain" comes from the Romance language and means "In Wood". Wood is not only a building material here, but a lived philosophy. Centuries-old Swiss pines, larches, and firs give the house an aura of warmth, security, and strength.

Tolles Haus mit perfekten Service
Wir durften letztes Wochenende ein super Abendessen im Vivanda geniessen. Eines der besten Dinner die ich in den letzten Jahre geniessen durfte. Vom Service über Ambiente bis zum Essen eine absolute Empfehlung.
We had a great time. The rooms and shared spaces all feel very cosy, and every employee also made us feel comfortable and like at home. Dario himself even spontaneously came to help us remove the snow from our car!We enjoyed the location, feeling secluded but at the same time with easy access to a number of fun things to do (St Moritz, Engadin Eisweg, Engadin River Ranch, Zuoz ski resort). The hot tub and saunas were quite fun and nice to use under the snow (but make sure to book it in advance). A few suggestions for improvement: - make sure guests realize you have underground parking, particularly when snow is forecasted - we had parked outside as we hadn't seen the garage entrance and ended up with several inches of snow on the car - add conditioner in the showers - improve cigar lounge ventilation to avoid the occasional light smoke smell in the suites corridor

Wunderschönes Wochenende im IN LAIN Hotel Cadonau! Empfang und Bedienung sind mega herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, das Zimmer sehr gemütlich mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten.||Die Küche ist hervorragend, das Frühstück phänomenal. Der private Wellnessbereich mit Sauna, Pott und Badeteich ist ein Highlight – inklusive top Snacks und Getränken.||Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Aussendusche funktioniert im Winter nicht, was uns leider niemand mitgeteilt hat – wir hätten sonst im Zimmer geduscht. Das würde ich unbedingt empfehlen zu kommunizieren.||Nicht günstig, aber Preis-Leistung absolut stimmig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
Ein sehr schönes Boutique-Hotel, grosse, helle Zimmer, geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und der Service flink und flexibel, auf Extra-Wünsche wird eingegangen. |Jedoch: Kleine Hotels sollten Gästen das Gefühl geben, dass sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen, da sie eine persönlichere und individuellere Dienstleistung bieten als Kettenhotels. Dieses Gefühl haben wir bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt vermisst. Die Chefin hat uns weder persönlich begrüsst noch verabschiedet. Und während der Nachtessen hat sie uns wie Luft behandelt. Schade.
