Sasso San Gottardo - the legendary Gotthard fortress

In the once strictly secret, legendary Gotthard fortress, there is the unique Sasso San Gottardo museum with the two departments:

"Exhibitions": Energy Cave, Myth of Gotthard, Crystal Cave, Wunderkammer, Light Show Watershed Gotthard, as well as the first and only permanent exhibition about Goethe in Switzerland and his three Gotthard journeys.

On the large tour you can additionally take the metro del Sasso to the "historic fortress" from the exhibition. There, deep inside the mountain, original troop accommodations, cannon positions, and ammunition magazines are preserved with high fidelity. A side tunnel also leads to the panoramic platform with the most beautiful view!

The facility is also excellent as a film and photoshoot location! Documentaries have been shot here, as well as scenes for feature films, series, and commercials, along with photoshoots for cosplay groups and even a Mailänder fashion label!
