A Solothurn gem 💎 A must visit place! Theres a cafeteria serving drinks, coffee and dessert. Friendly* staff. Beautiful garden. We didn’t enter the museum as it cost 10CHF to do so.
Tolles Schloss, schöner Garten, spannendes Museum und hat kleines Café.
Superbe visite . Aussi bien le jardin à la française et les intérieurs valent le détour.. Accueil très agréable et produits originaux au café .
Das barocke Schloss liegt etwas ausserhalb von Solothurn. Eine lange Baumallee führt zur Frontseite hoch. Der Parkplatz befindet sich auf der Rückseite. Das Museeum ist ab April offen. Schloss Waldegg is a Baroque palace near Solothurn, built in 1686 as a summer residence for the Solothurn patrician Johann Viktor I. von Besenval. Its architecture reflects French and Italian Baroque influences blended with local Swiss traditions, creating an elongated, symmetrical manor with galleries, corner turrets and ornamental details that act as a baroque stage set. The south façade measures 78 m, the longest Baroque façade in Switzerland. The extensive grounds include formal gardens, tree-lined avenues, obelisks and an orangery that emphasize classical Baroque spatial order and integration with the landscape.
Wirklich ein schönes und vorallem angenehmes Fläckli. Bei Sonnenschein oder in der Weihnachtszeit wirklich ein Augenschmaus
